Library of Things

A new Library of Things for the district of St Albans

Would you like to save some money and save on storage by borrowing something for a garden or home job you’ve been meaning to do, or perhaps you want to try a new hobby or are planning a party? Check out our library of things where items can be borrowed for as little as £1 a week. You’ll be doing your bit for the Planet too, what’s not to like?

The main outlet for Share St Albans is The Green House in London Road but thanks to the support of Sandridge Parish Council larger items can also be collected and dropped off at a garage next to the Parish Council offices in Marshalswick.

There is a growing network of over 100 Libraries of Things around the country from Frome in Somerset to Edinburgh in Scotland all helping to strengthen their communities and helping our environment as less ’stuff’ is consumed and less gets wasted ending up in landfill.

Find out more about how the library works and how to join up by using this link.  If you would like to support the project in some way maybe by donating items or offering volunteering time please do send an email to hello@sharestalbans.org
