We would love to welcome you to our friendly team of volunteers!
Volunteering with The Green House is a great way to get involved with your local community. You can meet new people, learn new skills and
help change things for the better.
Whatever the role, we will offer an induction course and ongoing training and support. We can be very flexible and definitely have something to
suit everyone!
Come and talk to us to find out more!
Could you become a Hub Volunteer ?
- Welcome and chat to hub visitors – signposting to further information, resources, networks, events and activities.
- Help to maintain the Green House Eco-Library
- Measure footfall and keep a record of conversation themes, what people are asking for or interested in.
- Help with the running of Share St Albans, our Library of Things and encourage our community to share more and waste less!
Could you become a recycling co-ordinator and help oversee and promote our recycling schemes and keep our recycling information updated?
Would you like to be a wildlife advocate and help look after our
courtyard garden, support our nature based events and maintain The Green House Seed Bank?
Are you nifty with a needle or speedy with a sewing machine? We’d love more volunteers to help run our Sewing Repair Cafes.
Would you be interested in joining our Home Energy group, keen to help people reduce their bills and make their houses more energy efficient?
Are you creative and interested in making displays, writing a blog, designing leaflets? We have plenty of communication roles!
These are just a few of the volunteering opportunities we can offer. Do send an email to volunteer@thegreenhousestalbans.org and we’ll organise a time to have a chat.
